What's New

See what we've been building. MealHuddle ships new features every week — here are the highlights.

March 2026

Community Hub — Track your bug reports, vote on feature ideas, and connect with other MealHuddle users — all from one page inside the app. Every report now shows live status updates so you always know where things stand.

Surprise Me — Can't decide what to cook? Tap "Surprise Me" on the Add Meal page and get a personalized recipe suggestion based on what your family has enjoyed, what you haven't cooked recently, and what's different from your current plan. The more you cook and rate meals, the smarter it gets. (Pro)

Quick Notes — Not every meal is a recipe. Add notes like "Eating out at Olive Garden", "Leftovers from Tuesday", or "Skip — traveling" directly to your meal plan. Notes show up with a pencil icon and are automatically excluded from your grocery list.

Copy & Move Meals — Two new ways to handle meals across plans. "Move to Next Plan" shifts a meal you didn't get to. "Plan Again Later" lets you schedule favorites for specific future weeks with a date picker.

Recipe Health Check — See which recipes in your library are missing cook times, difficulty, cuisine, or photos. Pro subscribers can auto-fill missing details in one tap. Find it on the Recipes page.

Solutions Pages — New landing pages explaining how MealHuddle tackles common frustrations: family meal planning, grocery lists, recipe import, real-time collaboration, and more.

February 2026

Chef Mode — Step-by-step cooking guidance with voice Q&A. Ask questions hands-free while your hands are busy — like "how much garlic again?" or "what's the next step?" Chef Mode reads answers aloud so you never have to touch your phone. (Pro)

Calendar View — A full-featured calendar alongside the list view. See your whole week or month at a glance, tap any day to add meals, and view meal status with colored badges.

Little Chefs — A kid-friendly corner where children can rate meals with emoji, request recipes they want to try, and add items to the grocery list — all with parent approval.

Recipe Sharing — Share any recipe with a link. Recipients can view the full recipe without an account. Set expiration dates, revoke links anytime, and get rich previews when shared in group chats.

Meal Plan Templates — Save your favorite weekly plans as reusable templates. Preview by day, pick which meals to include, and apply to any plan period.

Rolling Grocery List — One continuous list that builds throughout the week. Set staple items that auto-populate every time, smart quantity merging, and full purchase history.

Recipe Scaling — Scale servings up or down with one tap. Ingredient quantities adjust instantly and carry through to your grocery list.

Recipe Versioning — Lock recipes to prevent accidental edits. Track version history and restore past versions anytime.

Generate a Recipe — Describe a dish in your own words and get a complete recipe with ingredients, steps, cook times, and nutrition. Works alongside photo, URL, and PDF import. (Pro)

Barcode Scanner — Scan product barcodes on your grocery list or ingredients for instant identification and price tracking.
